What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is an advanced fractional radio-frequency treatment device manufactured by Inmode, which delivers controlled-depth heating through an array of micro-needles. The treatment is useful for skin rejuvenation, tissue tightening and fat remodelling in the face and body.
Most importantly, Morpheus8 allows us to deliver radio-frequency (RF) heat energy in different depths and up to of 4mm (deeper than any other device on the market). Moreover, it creates a controlled trauma in the fat and collagen layers, therefore promoting significant improvements to the skin, face and body.

What is it for?
Morpheus8 is a clinically proven device used for epidermal resurfacing, improving the tone and texture of the skin, further achieving a more youthful and radiant appearance. In addition, it tightens and reshapes facial contours in the face and neck.
Our clinical director Dr. Ali Ghanem, specialises primarily in jawline sculpting treatments using the Morpheus8. However, he also uses the technology for recontouring, sculpting and reducing small areas of fat in the body in order to achieve body sculpting.
Morpheus8 is ideal for:
|Reducing fine, moderate and deeper wrinkles;||Improving eyebags and upper eyelid laxity||Reducing and improving stretch marks|
|Improving skin tone and texture||Reducing smile lines (nasolabial folds), marionette lines and facial contour||Improving other types of scarring|
|Reducing scarring, including acne scarring||Tightening and recontouring the chin, jawline and neck to reduce jowls||Improving skin laxity in the abdomen, knees and upper arms|
|Improving active acne||Reducing submental fat or double chins||Generalised body sculpting, fat remodeling and circumferential improvements in the abdomen, hips and thighs|
The Rae Factor
We specialise in combining our treatments with innovative techniques to optimise the results achieved by our treatments. As a result, the body rejuvenates and repairs the skin layers in the most natural way possible. We will tell you more about your bespoke options during your consultation.
How does Morpheus8 work?
The aim of the Morpheus8 treatment is to deliver controlled heat at varying depths in the skin layers. As a result, channels of micro-injury form in the skin layers, consequently helping the body to stimulate a natural healing response.
The controlled heating is delivered in a fractional and sporadic manner on the skin surface. Therefore the skin is not all targeted at once. That is to say, Morpheus8 is able to target many indications without damaging the surface of the skin.
Treating the skin in various areas of the body, neck and face requires a tailored and customised protocol. Accordingly, when using the Morpheus8 technology, different needle depths are applied for the different areas of the body.
Importantly this differential targeting allows Morpheus8 to significantly improve fine lines, wrinkles, deep folds and overall skin texture.
For example, the face is treated using a Morpheus8 maximum needle depth of 3mm to target small accumulations of fat such as those found in the chin and jawline.
In the same vein, since the skin of the forehead and around the eyes is very thin, it is treated with a maximum depth of 1 or 2 mm needle. Finally, the Morpheus8 maximum depth of 4mm is used in order to reach deeper into the tissue for fat reduction and body sculpting.
How do I know if I am suitable for a Morpheus8 treatment?During your consultation with Dr. Ghanem you will discuss your physical concerns and whether Morpheus8 is the right option of treatment for you.
Moreover, a full medical history will be taken during your consultation to uncover any allergies, medication administration or other issues which might be unsuitable for any of the treatments that we offer.
If you are pregnant or currently breastfeeding you will not be suitable for Morpheus8 treatment and will need to await the period of weaning your child, before we can embark on a treatment plan.
What can I expect to happen during a Morpheus8 treatment? The area being treated will be cleansed and marked as a guide for treatment. Meanwhile, a strong topical local anaesthetic will be applied to the area in order to maximise your comfort.
During treatment the small microneedles will enter the skin, delivering the radiofrequency energy at the required power and depth levels needed for the area being treated.
Face and neck treatments last between 30 and 45 minutes, with body treatments lasting approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How many treatments will I need? Two to three treatment sessions are required, on average, for significant improvements in the skin and face, while the body requires three to four treatments on average.
Does Morpheus8 treatment hurt? The level of pain or discomfort due to treatment is directly proportional to the depth of needle penetration and radio-frequency energy which produces a heating sensation.
Expect to feel a sense of pressure during the procedure, with only minimal discomfort and a sensation of mild heat. In addition, A topical anaesthetic or numbing cream is applied before treatment commences for added comfort.
Dr. Ghanem is an expert at managing pain and differing pain thresholds. We use additional skin cooling or anaesthetic techniques for individuals with pain sensitivities.
What are the possible Morpheus8 side effects?Morpheus8 is safe to use on all skin types, as it does not come with the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), as is often the case with forms of fractional and non-fractional laser skin resurfacing when performed on darker skin types.
Expect your skin to feel tight immediately after treatment, with redness, swelling, possible minor bruising and tenderness lasting for a short while and up to two or three days.
You will notice small, dot-like marks on the skin where the micro-needles have penetrated the surface. These will shrink and heal after one to three days.
You are advised not to scratch or scrub the area as this can induce infection, scarring or pigmentation changes. Aftercare advice will be provided.
Any discomfort in the days after your treatment can be managed with cooling or over-the-counter pain medication.
Downtime varies and depends on the depth of treatment performed. For more superficial skin treatments, you can expect little to no downtime around 24-48 hours, five days for deeper facial treatments and up to one week for body treatments.
What Morpheus8 results can I expect?Although you can expect some immediate tightening as a result of the tissue coagulation caused by the delivery of radiofrequency energy, this is by no means the full extent of your result.
Most importantly, results are not immediate as this treatment is aimed at diminishing fat cells and stimulating the repair of skin cells and the production of new collagen and elastin over time. Accordingly, improvements in skin texture, skin tightness and fat remodelling will continue in the weeks and months after treatment.
In addition, you can expect to see further changes and improvements after four to six weeks, with continued improvements after each treatment session.
How long will Morpheus8 results last? Results are long-lasting, subsequently requiring maintenance only three to five years after completing a full treatment course.
How much does Morpheus8 cost?Morpheus8 cost will depend on the area that you are treating, and the treatment programme being undertaken to achieve the desired result. You will discuss a bespoke solution and price with our doctor, however prices per treatment session start from £990.
For example, a treatment programme designed at improving skin texture will start from £990, a programme designed to tighten and improve facial contours from £990. Finally, a programme designed to improve abdominal skin laxity and remodel fat will start from £1490.
