What is Laser Stretch Marks Removal?
Stretch marks are notoriously difficult to treat, that is why we at the Rae Clinic introduce THREE different treatment modalities to address the condition. Most commonly and effectively we use our Laser Stretch Mark Removal technology, Acupulse.
Laser stretch marks removal can treat stretch marks that are caused by:

What is Laser Stretch Marks Removal for?
We used Laser stretch marks removal to effectively remove the skin layers where stretch marks appear. At the same time, the heat from the laser encourages the skin to produce new healthy skin cells.
To clarify, stretch marks are tears in the skin layers caused by rapid skin stretching – effectively creating a form of scar tissue. Medically we refer to it as Striae and they are very common in both men and women.
When stretch marks first appear, they usually appear purple, blue or red. Additionally, they tend to be raised with a visible tear in the skin. Over time, they appear less prominent, turning into white, visible lines on the surface of the skin.
To conclude, the laser stretch marks removal system has a dual effect of getting rid of damaged scar tissue while stimulating the formation of new skin tissue. Therefore, significantly improving or eliminating their appearance.
The Regenerative Factor
To get the best results, we use a variety of regenerative factors to assist the body to repair itself naturally. For example, We use growth factors taken from the patient’s own blood as a source of healing. That is to say, we use your own growth factors to supercharge the body’s healing response and process.
How does it work?
Our stretch marks removal laser is a CO2 laser. CO2 lasers ablate skin layers using very high temperatures. As previously mentioned, the destruction of the skin’s outer surface layer camouflages the stretch mark. Meanwhile, the stimulation generated from the heat helps in producing new healthy skin cells underneath the stretch mark.
In addition, we use the Enerjet 2.0 system for older, deeper stretch marks. Enerjet 2.0 is a no-needle system utilising a pneumatic jet to insert Hyaluronic Acid into the deeper skin layers in order to repair them. As a result of the jet penetrating the skin, we are able to create a micro-trauma to the skin that, combined with Hyaluronic Acid, remodels the stretch marks.
Morpheus8 is a fractional radiofrequency system which delivers a heating effect that deeply penetrates damaged tissue in order to repair and remodel the area by tissue contraction and new collagen stimulation.
Morpheus8’s fractional effect addresses the texture of the stretchmarks, while the Enerjet 2.0 addresses the cellular repair itself.
How do I know if I am suitable for Laser strech mark removal ?If you are pregnant or currently breastfeeding you will not be suitable for stretch mark treatment, as your body is still changing due to the effects of your childbearing. You will need to wait until the stretch marks have settled before we can embark on a treatment plan.
What can I expect to happen during treatment?Treatment time will depend on the size of the area and the selected treatment option. We apply a numbing cream to the treated area prior to the laser stretch mark removal treatment. Subsequently, you may sense a flicking or snapping sensation as the laser light touches your skin.
How many treatments will I need? The number of treatment sessions required will depend on the severity and stage of your stretch marks. On average, we recommend one to three treatment sessions.
Does It hurt?Prior to the treatment a topical anesthetic or numbing cream is applied. Additionally, a local anesthetic injection could be used upon request.
What are the possible side effects?Depending on the combination of multi-modal treatment, downtime can be up to five days but is usually minimal. You can expect post-treatment side effects including redness or red marks, swelling, minor bruising, tenderness, and mild pain.
Our doctor will provide you with full aftercare advice, however, most side effects generally subside quickly, and you can return to your normal activities as soon as you feel comfortable doing so.
